J.M.C (Digital Print Media)

History

       B.A. JMC (Digital Print Media) (offered only in our college in the whole of Periyar University) was introduced in the year 2008. We planned to start this course as our Salesian Institute of Graphic Arts (SIGA), Chennai has the Diploma in Printing Technology which was running successfully more than 25 years and many students are benefited by this course. So we planned to start this as an undergraduate as B.A. JMC (DPM) in our College. The process started with the preparation of syllabus and its concept.

        B.A. JMC (Digital Print Media) course is a combination of Printing, Computer and Media. With the advent of software development and the influence of media has in the society. This combination will fetch great employment opportunity for our students in and out of our country. All the teaching faculties are Graduates in Printing Technology with wide industrial experience. Our students secure Gold Medals in all University Examinations.

        The students of B.A. JMC (Digital Print Media) constructively use the department library shelved with very recent books in many fields of computer science, and printing and technology. The department has been using new strategies for advanced learning such as instructional strategy, additional assignment of responsibility, providing access to professional learning careers. The curriculum is updated according to the changing environment in industry, business world, and digital print media through board of studies with eminent members.
